Valle Sagrado
History:
Since the Foundation's office is located in the Calca district, it made perfect sense for the organization to connect the Schools with a midpoint that also shares the rural DNA characteristic of Sinkumunchis. Thus, amidst vast cornfields but with a touch of urbanity, the idea arose to incorporate the communities and populated centers of the Huayllabamba district. At that time, the president of the Huayoccari Populated Center, Mr. Emeterio Gomez, supported the project alongside the local population, and in 2023, the organization decided to open its doors. In 2025, the project was proposed to the FIFA Foundation 2025-2027 fund, resulting in a win and securing the sustainability of this school.
Geography & Location
The Huayllabamba district is located 10 minutes from Calca and also from Urubamba, right in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is a strategic location for Sinkumunchis as it serves as a midpoint between the Pisac School and the Maras School. In addition, boys and girls from more urban areas also travel to be part of this beautiful and competitive school, at the foot of the Racchi archaeological site.
