Pisac School began in the Chahuaytire Farming Community in 2021, when co-founder Gonzalo García started a personal initiative with the local population. Later, in 2022, with the official establishment of the Sinkumunchis Foundation, the sports program expanded to include the rural town of Cuyo Grande. Since then, the ball hasn’t stopped rolling, and Pisac School has become the model prototype — one that has since been replicated in other Quechua-speaking farming communities across the district and throughout Peru. Maras School
In 2022, Sinkumunchis conducted a national census of farming communities. During that campaign, the case of Jair Huaman (25), then leader of his community and founder of a youth movement in his locality, caught attention. He mentioned that his community had many talented boys and girls who could benefit from a Sinkumunchis program.
The conversations went well, and as Sinkumunchis’ first expansion, that year the community hosted the 1st Intercommunity Tournament: Maras vs Pisac. In 2024, it also hosted the Interregional Tournament: Cusco vs Andahuaylas, a sports event sponsored by the company Yape-Digital Wallet…
Pacucha
Following the sustained growth of the San Jerónimo School, several children and adolescents from the Pacucha district began traveling to Lliupapuquio and Champaccocha to participate in Sinkumunchis training sessions. Their enthusiasm was so great that they even sent a personal note to the organization's founders, requesting that the program also reach their area…

At the end of 2023, Sinkumunchis knew that the next institutional step was to expand outside of Cusco. Valle Sagrado
Since the Foundation's office is located in the Calca district, it made perfect sense for the organization to connect the Schools with a midpoint that also shares the rural DNA characteristic of Sinkumunchis. Thus, amidst vast cornfields but with a touch of urbanity, the idea arose to incorporate the communities and populated centers of the Huayllabamba district. At that time, the president of the Huayoccari Populated Center, Mr. Emeterio Gomez, supported the project alongside the local population, and in 2023, the organization decided to open its doors.
