The Sinkumunchis Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) connects the worlds of soccer and social impact by engaging students with a Peruvian nonprofit dedicated to establishing soccer schools in the Andes region. This offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged youth while helping with their own personal and leadership growth.
How can a Youth Ambassador get involved?
Youth ambassadors can make an impact on Sinkumunchis in many ways, finding an involvement level that fits their schedule just right. Youth Ambassadors can drive financial support by running campaigns through their personal networks, forming alliances with local sports teams and businesses, or spreading awareness about educational and athletic development. Beyond just fundraising, there are numerous ways to help Sinkumunchis through project leadership roles too. Whether you only have the time to collect soccer cleats and hand out flyers, or you are looking for a higher-commitment role managing website content, social media, or graphic design, there is an opportunity for everyone to contribute.
For those seeking an in person experience, ambassadors can participate in service trips to Cusco, Peru, and the surrounding communities. These trips provide a chance to stay in local homes, connect with the culture, and work directly with Sinkumunchis’s schools. By coaching and playing soccer with the kids, youth ambassadors can contribute to a cause much greater than themselves.
